We are now seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher/leisure-time instructor at Ekeby School Ekeby School is an F-6 school with just over 100 students and 16 staff members. The school is located in Ekeby, on the outskirts of Kumla, with nature as our closest neighbor. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Together with your colleagues, you will create an engaging, safe, and coherent day for the students. You and your colleagues will stimulate students to learn in an environment adapted based on the group's and students' interests, abilities, and needs. The leisure-time program is an important part of our activities. Leisure-time pedagogy is central throughout the school day, for example during recess activities. Together with a teacher, you will be responsible for and teach in grades F-1. You will also work in the leisure-time program. Your responsibilities include: • Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in the preschool class and leisure-time program, based on the curriculum. • In collaboration with the teacher, implement the Swedish National School Board's assessment materials for the preschool class, in order to early identify students' knowledge development and adapt teaching to students' needs. • Build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. • Create safe and stimulating learning environments based on the individual's and group's abilities and needs. • Show confidence in students' abilities and encourage comprehensive development and learning. • Use methods and approaches that lead to the best possible goal achievement. • Support children's social development and upbringing, development of their interests, taking own initiative, and taking responsibility for themselves and others. • Be part of a teaching team and/or leisure-time program team, where you are expected to participate actively in daily operations and systematic quality work. QUALIFICATIONS To thrive in the role of teacher/leisure-time instructor at Ekeby School, you need to have good collaboration skills and a flexible attitude, as the school is small and those of us working here need to help each other in our daily work. A calm and composed approach and understanding of the relational perspective and the school's compensatory mission are important, both in work in grades F-1 and in the leisure-time program. You should feel confident and clear in your leadership role and enjoy combining teaching with planning and leading groups of children in various creative activities, games, and play. As a person, you are confident, have an easy time collaborating and building relationships, and have a professional approach toward students, parents, and colleagues. You must have teacher training with qualification to teach grades F-1 or be trained as a leisure-time instructor or leisure-time pedagogue. Previous experience working in a preschool class is a merit, as is a good understanding of children with various difficulties. We place great importance on personal suitability. For this position, we apply vacation service, which means annual working hours distributed across the entire operations year with vacation according to vacation agreement.
