Job responsibilities We are now seeking a qualified student assistant for our adapted primary school with a subject/subject area focus. In your role as a student assistant, you will support students in their continued knowledge development and, most importantly, in fostering their independence. As a student assistant, you will share responsibility for delivering instruction in the classroom together with teachers and colleagues. You will carry out pedagogical activities adapted to both the group's and individual's specific needs, while working to create and maintain an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels welcome and respected. An important responsibility is to actively collaborate with guardians to build good relationships and ensure open communication. You will also participate in monitoring and evaluating students' progress in collaboration with the work team, and where needed, adapt instruction to better meet students' individual needs. After school hours, you will be part of a team at the after-school program, where you are expected to share responsibility for all students from primary school as well as students from the adapted primary school. The after-school program is built on the idea of continuing students' knowledge development, which means you will actively participate in planning activities carried out during the afternoons. Since language and communication are among the school's operational goals, you are expected to carry out activities that promote language and communication. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education as a student assistant and more than 2 years of experience from adapted primary school. You must have an unobstructed command of Swedish in both speech and writing and have strong communication skills that help you build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. It is an advantage if you know TAKK and/or picture support, as these are used as alternative communication methods with our students.
