Ref: 20262117 Job Responsibilities As a student assistant with us, we expect you to be proactive and find solutions together with your colleagues. Recognizing opportunities to overcome perceived obstacles is fundamental. You guide and motivate students so they can focus on their schoolwork and prepare or break down tasks together with the responsible teacher or special education teacher. Primarily, you will be placed in the adapted elementary school, but since schools operate based on changing needs, you need to be prepared for other placements, that is, in a class in elementary school grades F-6. In your daily work, you will work with one or several children and meet their needs, which means you need to be able to: manage diabetes, handle students' hygiene and toilet needs, support during mealtimes, non-verbal communication, and have knowledge of various diagnoses. You will encounter various diagnoses and disabilities in your daily work such as: autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, dyslexia, language disorder, and mobility impairment. Qualifications You have completed upper secondary education. If it is in the direction of care, we see it as a merit. You have experience working with children or young people, and specific experience working with students with intellectual disability (ID) and autism. You have knowledge of various diagnoses and disabilities and how to address them. You have knowledge of alternative communication methods and low-affect interaction. You have very good skills in Swedish both spoken and written.
