Surgical Care Leadership Team, Region Jönköpings län Would you like to combine strategic financial work with an important public mission? We are seeking an engaged Chief Financial Officer who wants to lead and develop financial management within Surgical Care. You will have a central role in creating long-term sustainable financial conditions for the operations and contribute to high-quality care. Within the Surgical Care operations area, activities belonging to surgical specialties across the region are consolidated. In total, there are 2,800 employees distributed across the region's three hospitals in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. The assignment includes budgeting, internal controls, monitoring, forecasting, and analysis. You prepare financial impact assessments and translate monitoring and forecasts into action plans and measures. You provide strategic and operationally-focused support to the Medical Director, Operations Managers, and other staff functions. An important part of the assignment is creating knowledge, understanding, and engagement around the operations' financial conditions and developing financial work based on, among other things, accessibility, competency supply, and new working methods. The role includes personnel responsibility for five controllers, and you lead the group's work toward common goals. Through supportive and clear leadership, you create conditions for participation, development, job satisfaction, and continuous improvement. You will be part of Surgical Care's management team, where you collaborate with other staff functions and report to the Medical Director. You will also participate in Region Jönköpings län's central Chief Financial Officer group, where you contribute to a holistic perspective, development of the region's financial processes, and strengthened collaboration within the finance function. Your Profile We are looking for you who have: • an academic degree in economics or other education that the employer considers equivalent • several years of experience in qualified financial work, preferably from a larger organization • clear operational focus and good understanding of how finance supports the care mission • ability to communicate financial matters in a pedagogical, clear, and engaging way • a driver's license, as operations are located in three places Previous management experience with personnel responsibility and knowledge of politically-governed operations are merits. If you have previous experience in qualified controller work, we see that as a significant advantage. As a leader, you are confident, supportive, and clear.
