The position is initially a consulting assignment for six months with the possibility of extension, and in the long term there may also be an opportunity for direct employment with the client. Selection is ongoing, so please submit your application today! About the Position Our client is a well-established company in the real estate industry operating in the Mälardalen region. The company offers services in property management and has an established operation in economic management of primarily housing cooperatives. They help their customers with the entire economic picture, from ongoing accounting and administration to budgets, financial statements, annual reports, and economic consulting. The business is characterized by customer proximity and a personal approach. As a housing cooperative accountant, you will be responsible for a number of housing cooperatives and become an important contact person for the cooperatives' boards on economic matters. You will be part of the team at the office in Västerås, where accountants and administrators work together to provide customers with the best possible service. The role is broad and work tasks vary throughout the year. During certain periods, the focus is for example on budget work, while spring involves more work with financial statements and annual reports. The business also works with the transition to the K3 regulation framework for a number of housing cooperatives, which makes previous K3 experience particularly valuable. You will work with among other things: Ongoing bookkeeping and economic administration Budget work and economic follow-up Handling of supplier invoices and approval flows Financial statements and annual reports Ongoing contact with housing cooperatives and their boards Economic consulting and support to your customers Transition to K3 for relevant cooperatives Work is mainly conducted at the office in Västerås. Once you are settled in the role, there is an opportunity to work from home one day per week. Working hours are during office hours with flexibility options. We Are Looking for You You have a background in economics and previous experience with accounting. You don't need to have worked specifically with housing cooperatives before—if you have a solid foundation in accounting and the desire to learn economic management, there are good opportunities to settle into the role. We would like to see that you: Have relevant education in economics or equivalent work experience Have experience with ongoing accounting Have experience with financial statements and preferably also annual reports Are used to working independently and taking responsibility for your work tasks Enjoy customer contact and building long-term relationships It is valuable if you have previously worked with economic management of housing cooperatives, K3, or Fortnox.
