JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Our current economist is shortly moving on to another assignment, and we are looking for a new colleague to join our organization. As an economist with us, you will work broadly and you like to pitch in where needed. Your responsibilities include ongoing financial administration such as journalizing, receipts and payments, accounts receivable and payable management, etc. You will also work together with the controller, upper secondary education director, and adult education director to provide financial support to core operations in their daily operational financial work. You will participate in budget and financial statement work as well as in the development of financial procedures, processes, and methods. You will have the opportunity, in dialogue with the controller and association director, to influence the direction and focus of these tasks. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with an academic degree in economics or a certified economist degree. Primarily, we are looking for you with strong knowledge of accounting. We would like to see that you have at least a few years of experience working with budgets, forecasts, monitoring, and analysis in public operations. Experience in project accounting is also a merit. You have good system skills and an interest in how IT support can be used to simplify and improve work. You master the Office package, primarily Excel, and experience with Agresso/Unit4 ERP is a merit. A driving license is a requirement. Your qualities In your role as an economist with us, you need to be able to work independently while seeing the benefits of collaboration and cooperation. You have a knack for collaborating and building trusting relationships. You have very strong knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We also expect good pedagogical and analytical skills and the ability to explain economic matters to non-economists. Type of employment: Permanent position. Duration: Indefinite.
