The Community Development Administration is located in Danderyd center, 14 minutes from T-centralen. Every day we ensure that everything runs smoothly for everyone who lives and works in Danderyd. From long-term community development, water in the tap, safe winter roads, and sustainable waste management to facility management and development. We also care for Danderyd's public spaces with playgrounds, natural areas, quays, flower meadows, bike paths, lighting, and much more. The waste operations belong to the Water, Sanitation and Waste Division, which is part of the Community Development Administration. Here we work with many different waste-related issues in a small group with engaged colleagues who are passionate about making the planet a little better while having a lot of fun together. Together we work to achieve the operations' goals, we help each other in large and small matters, and we enjoy discussing issues with one another. With great ambitions comes a lot to do, which is why we are expanding our group with a waste planner who wants to take responsibility for monitoring the daily operations of the municipality's waste collection. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a waste planner with operational responsibility, you need to be dynamic, plain and simple! Waste is engaging, which is clear to all of us working in the waste industry and the municipality has an important task in ensuring that waste collection is carried out to the satisfaction of our municipal residents and businesses. The role involves you having close contact with both waste collection contractors and municipal residents. You are well familiar with the agreements and ensure that these are followed. Even though the waste operations is a small group, you will be part of a large network. You will have contact with other municipalities, especially through the inter-municipal waste company SÖRAB. There are also networks, training courses, and conferences within, for example, the industry organization Avfall Sverige where you may participate. In the role, you will continuously lead operational meetings with the various waste contractors. Together with the contractor, you also work with occupational health and safety issues, which means you may be around the municipality. Most customer matters are handled by the municipality's newly established waste customer service, but they require close dialogue for further handling between customer service, you, and the waste collectors where you have a central role. The work tasks also include developing and revising procedures and handling other administrative tasks related to the daily operations of waste collection. For example, this could involve planning for the rolling mobile recycling center that visits the municipality several times a year and other similar administrative duties. The waste operations strives to have a broad service offering that encourages waste to be handled properly. In your role, you have good opportunities to continue developing the operations with new creative thoughts and ideas together with the rest of the group. In addition to working with pure operational matters, you will also be involved in our other multifaceted waste operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Upper secondary education • Experience with contractor or customer contacts within the waste area or another area deemed equivalent • Good computer skills with experience of the Office package • Good proficiency in Swedish, spoken and written, as the work involves many internal and external contacts It is a merit if you have: • Relevant higher education and/or university education • Experience working in a politically governed organization • Previous experience with contract monitoring or procurement It is also a merit if you can and enjoy cycling from a sustainability perspective and because it is a time-efficient way to get around the municipality. You work in a structured manner and have a knack for methodically ensuring that things are done the right way while maintaining good humor even in stressful situations. You find it easy to create new relationships and trust with others and feel confident having many contacts both within and outside the organization.
