The Department of Technology and Municipal Services carries out vital community work every day, such as maintaining, managing, and developing streets, parks, properties, and sports facilities, cleaning, preparing meals, collecting garbage, delivering water, and treating wastewater. We also help Motala municipality grow sustainably with a holistic perspective and create conditions for doing things right in a simple and lawful manner.

The Outdoor Environment Unit manages the daily operations of Motala's streets, parks, and playgrounds, among other things. We also oversee the ice stadium, lit trails, and swimming areas, vehicle workshop, vehicle coordination, and municipal warehouse.
We handle snow removal, sand collection, and make sure the Christmas tree ends up in the town square!

WORK TASKS
Work tasks vary throughout the year, with common operational work including unpaved surface maintenance, mechanical sweeping, grass cutting, park maintenance, tree and forest care, snow removal, maintenance of exercise trails, and ice stadium operations.
We would like you to have previous experience working with operations, landscaping, or other work within the green industries. Most importantly, you want to come in with a positive attitude and the willingness to learn new things.
Summer and winter readiness are included in the positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the position, you have:
• Class B driver's license, manual transmission
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
• Previous experience with summer flowers/perennials and plant knowledge
• Chainsaw operator certification
• Brush cutter training
• Lift training (mobile work platforms)
• Road work certification
• Hot work certification
• Experience operating wheel loaders and tractors
