Job Responsibilities In your role as an operations and maintenance technician, you will primarily work with operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, wetlands, water treatment plants, and distribution networks. Tasks in the role include, among others, sampling, process monitoring, distribution network operation, maintenance of technical equipment, documentation and follow-up of completed work. The work also involves contact with customers, residents, other departments within the Municipality, companies, consultants and contractors. The Water and Wastewater Department has overall responsibility for water and wastewater matters within the operational area of public water and wastewater in Nynäshamn Municipality. The Department Head is responsible for the water and wastewater utility operations and ensuring that this critical infrastructure functions. The role of Operations and Maintenance Technician is placed in the Production and Distribution unit, which is responsible for operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations and operation of the distribution network. What We're Looking For in You To succeed in the role, you have: Secondary or vocational college education in water and wastewater engineering, operations and maintenance engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent Practical experience from operations and maintenance within water and wastewater or process industry Good knowledge of spoken and written Swedish and basic knowledge of English Competence in systems for maintenance and process monitoring (SCADA, CMMS) B-class driver's license.
