We are now seeking a district nurse or specialist nurse with a focus on children and youth for the Child Health Center at Vårdcentral Domnarvet. Vårdcentral Domnarvet is one of Dalarna's largest health centers with approximately 16,500 registered patients and around 65 employees. The health center is located in a scenic area near Bergebo recreation center and is an appreciated workplace with broad expertise and strong cohesion. Many different professional categories work together here, and we see collaboration and knowledge exchange as a natural part of our daily work. The Child Health Center is part of Vårdcentral Domnarvet and is located together with the Midwifery Clinic in newly renovated premises with a pleasant work environment. Region Dalarna is transitioning to future health and medical care through Good and Nearby Care, where primary care plays a central role. We are seeking someone interested in development and improvement work and who wants to be involved in shaping the future of child health services. Responsibilities As a child health center nurse, you'll have the opportunity to follow children and families during an important period in life. You'll be responsible for children aged 0-6 years and work to promote children's health and development, prevent illness, and early identify needs for support and interventions. Your duties include conducting health examinations and developmental assessments, providing advice and support regarding breastfeeding and parenting, administering vaccinations, and providing telephone guidance. You'll also conduct home visits and lead parent groups. The work is varied and independent while occurring in close collaboration with other professionals in the operation. Qualifications Required: Licensed district nurse or specialist nurse with a focus on children and youth Driver's license category B Meritorious experience: Experience in child health services Experience in primary care Development and improvement work Work in multiprofessional teams Personal qualities: We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in working with children and families. You are confident in your professional role and have a professional and respectful manner. You are collegial and can collaborate both within your own unit and across organizational boundaries. Work in child health services is constantly changing and requires adherence to new guidelines and working methods in the field.
