The position involves conducting program activities for clients throughout the service area. You will be based at a probation office, but may be located in a different city than your colleagues and supervisor. You will work largely independently and support other program managers with their clients. Daily work will primarily involve digital contact with clients, as well as participation in coordination meetings and other meetings conducted digitally. Treatment programs are delivered with high quality and according to evidence-based practice principles. They are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy. We use treatment programs addressing criminality, violence, substance abuse, and sexual and relationship violence. Our comprehensive program offerings mean you will lead several different programs. Our program portfolio consists primarily of individual programs, though group programs may occur. Although treatment programs are conducted individually, teamwork and participation in peer supervision are a significant part of the job. The role includes close collaboration with the probation officers handling each case, ensuring the treatment program is integrated with other interventions provided during the client's sentence. The position also includes administrative tasks. You are fundamentally employed as a Probation Officer, and this may mean you could be assigned other work tasks if needed. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-awareness. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and adapt your communication style to the recipient's circumstances. In your professional practice, you must demonstrate good judgment and integrity. As a probation officer, you need strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate clearly. You must also be in adequate physical condition to take physical action if the situation requires it.
