Knowledge of UJ; testing accuracy of measuring instruments, indicators, or other recording and control devices to find defective components and ensure compliance with standards; calibrating instruments and scales using hand tools and computer or electronic equipment; inspecting components, connections, and drive mechanisms to identify malfunctions; assembling instruments and equipment such as barometers, regulating valves, gyroscopes, hygrometers, speedometers, tachometers, and thermostats; testing, calibrating, and adjusting electronic, mercury, aneroid, and other types of meteorological instruments using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, electron tube testers, and other testing equipment to ensure compliance with printed parameters and schematics; adjusting and repairing masts, support structures, signal lights, control wiring, and other electrical and mechanical equipment; inspecting whether assembled units meet parameters and ensuring their specified performance and sensitivity through standard tests.
