We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst specializing in Signal/ATC for a qualified consulting assignment.
This assignment is part of an effort to reduce train delays caused by errors in the train protection system's ATC equipment. You will work with analysis of data from railway vehicles and Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) facilities, identify deviations, and develop decision-making materials to prevent and address errors.
The role combines railway engineering, data analysis, data visualization, and IT system requirements specification.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will, among other things:
collect and analyze information about signal systems and reported ATC errors
process data to identify faulty or deviating ATC beacons
prepare materials for contractors in preparation for planned and urgent measures
analyze vehicle-related ATC events and identify recurring deviations
feed back identified errors to the relevant railway operators
participate in meetings and collaboration with Trafikverket and railway companies
work with data visualization in Power BI, Qlik Sense, or equivalent tools
contribute to requirements specification for new and modified features in the ATC analysis IT support
support Trafikverket's management and further development of ATC analysis
document analyses, results, and requirements according to established practices.
The assignment involves translating analyses into concrete materials that can be used to prevent disruptions and streamline fault resolution in railway facilities.
We Are Looking For
To be considered for this assignment, you must meet the following requirements:
Vocational university degree or equivalent post-secondary education in infrastructure
at least 2 years of professional experience in Signal/ATC
at least 2 years of documented experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, or equivalent
at least 2 years of experience programming in DAX and Power Query/M, alternatively Qlik Expressions and Qlik Script/Load Script or similar
experience working in a structured manner with data analysis, documentation, and quality assurance
strong analytical ability and the ability to translate technical data into clear decision-making and action materials.
Competency requirements must be demonstrated through your CV and relevant reference assignments.
It Is an Advantage If You Have
experience with Trafikverket's operations or the railway sector
experience with ATC analysis or similar systems
experience with railway signal systems and beacons
experience with Power BI/Qlik in larger technical environments
experience with requirements specification and further development of IT systems
experience working with large datasets and identifying patterns, deviations, and errors.
