About the operation
Kiruna Ore Processing's mission is to refine ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are drying, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the remaining four are support sections within quality, technical and process development, material processing, and maintenance.

Your role
We are now seeking a mechanic on day shift at Kiruna Concentration Plant 1 and 2 (KA1/KA2). Here you will be part of a positive and self-directed work team consisting of both shift and day shift personnel. We also have our own maintenance supervisors who plan and structure the daily work for mechanics. In your role as a mechanic, you will primarily work with preventive and corrective maintenance, improvement and repair work. The work is performed according to LKAB's work procedures, instructions, and guidelines for safe and efficient execution.
What you bring
A high safety mindset is consistently important in this role. The work involves close cooperation with operations personnel at the Concentration Plants, which requires good communication skills. We are looking for someone who is responsible, curious, and not afraid to ask questions. We value commitment and a strong desire to develop, and we offer training in welding, equipment assembly, and more.
High school education is required, preferably with an industrial focus or equivalent experience
A B driver's license is required for all positions at LKAB. For this position, a manual transmission driver's license is required
Swedish, both spoken and written, is required
Work experience as a mechanic is a plus
