Swedwatch is a non-profit and politically independent research organization that, with rights holders at its center, works to ensure that companies, investors, and states take responsibility for human rights and the environment. Through research, dialogue, and capacity-building work, we drive change and support individuals, organizations, and communities negatively affected by corporate activities. Swedwatch is currently undergoing major changes in terms of strategy, focus, and financing. About the Role You are an experienced controller who wants to contribute to stable finances, stakeholder confidence, and developed fundraising. Swedwatch's controller leads budget and follow-up work, and provides staff, management, the board, and funders with necessary reports. The role also includes responsibility for risk assessment, compliance, and audit processes. About You We are looking for someone who makes it easy for colleagues and non-finance professionals to do the right thing, whether it concerns project budgets or reporting to major donors. You create understanding and trust in the management of collected funds, while with your strategic approach contributing to the development of new approaches and solutions for financing Swedwatch's activities. To succeed in this role, you need to be a driven, structured, and meticulous finance professional with strong collaboration skills. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and are accustomed to meeting deadlines. To be a good fit for us, you also need to be stable, helpful, and skilled at explaining things. Qualifications - Finance education at bachelor's level or equivalent experience that the employer deems comparable - At least five years of work as a controller - Experience working as a controller in civil society organizations - Excellent knowledge of Fortnox or equivalent software - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Fluent English and Swedish Meritorious - Experience working or engaged in civil society, particularly regarding work with Sida, the EU, and international donors - Knowledge of payroll management We offer an exciting and dynamic workplace with interesting tasks in a small and goal-oriented team. Practical Information The position is a permanent full-time employment (equivalent to 37.5 hours per week) located at Swedwatch's office in Stockholm.
