We are now seeking a Controller to our finance department reporting directly to the Finance Manager. You will have a central role focused on the company's real estate projects and investments, and become part of an experienced and dedicated team of six people responsible for the company's accounting, reporting and financial monitoring. Responsibilities As Controller you work with follow-up, budget and forecast processes and are responsible for producing reports to management and board. You have special responsibility for the financial monitoring of the company's real estate projects within renovation, maintenance and new construction in close collaboration with management, operations and real estate development. The work involves developing and quality assuring investment calculations, monitoring costs and forecasts and ensuring correct handling in the income statement and balance sheet, including capitalization in the fixed assets register and assessment of investment versus maintenance. In dialogue with managers and project managers, you function as a financial partner and contribute with analysis and structure on matters concerning investments and ongoing operations. You also participate in work with internal reports, key ratio analyses and monthly, quarterly and annual accounts. The assignment includes supporting managers and employees in financial matters and being helpful to the finance manager and other colleagues in the finance department in investigations and tasks that may arise within the department's scope. You also have shared system responsibility for the company's follow-up and analysis system and parts of the real estate system. Requirements We are looking for someone with higher education in economics or other relevant post-secondary education. However, the most important thing is your background and your ability to independently work with financial monitoring of real estate projects. You have experience in controlling at real estate companies and have worked with residential properties. The role requires work with project or real estate controlling linked to investments. You are experienced in working with investment calculations, project monitoring and capitalization in the fixed assets register and have good understanding of how investments affect the income statement and balance sheet. You have a solid foundation in real estate economics, accounting and VAT matters and work fluently in Excel with good system familiarity. Experience in developing processes and routines is a merit.
