As a Controller at Lantmännen Biorefineries, you'll have a central role in the finance function where you combine financial monitoring with analysis of a complex and exciting production operation. Lantmännen Biorefineries is part of Lantmännen and Division Energi is Northern Europe's largest agriculture-based biorefinery. The operation refines grain and circular residual products from the food industry with high resource efficiency and sustainability in focus. The raw materials' starch, proteins and fibers are refined in high-tech production facilities into, among other things, grain-based ethanol, drinking alcohol, feed and food ingredients. Lantmännen is an agricultural cooperative owned by 17,000 Swedish farmers and operates in around 20 countries. The group works throughout the entire value chain from farm to table and has a clear ambition to develop sustainable and profitable solutions in agriculture, food and energy. Tasks and Responsibilities As a Controller at Lantmännen Biorefineries, you'll have a central role in the finance function with responsibility for financial reporting and monitoring for the Norrköping site and shared functions. The role combines financial control and analysis with business understanding and close collaboration with both your colleagues in finance and the operational business. An important part of the assignment is to go beyond the numbers and assess the reasonableness of results, identify deviations and understand what lies behind the outcome. To succeed in the role, you need to understand the industrial logic and how production, yields, prices, inventory and product calculations affect the financial result. You act as an important quality eye in reporting and as qualified support to the Controller Manager and Finance Manager. Your main tasks include: Financial reporting and monitoring. Ensure quality and delivery of weekly reports, financial statements, forecasts, budgets and business plans. Analyze financial deviations, identify underlying causes and clarify consequences. Work with profitability assessments and contribute a financial perspective in investment compilations and other decision-making materials. Act as qualified support to the organization on financial matters. Work with internal controls and ensure that processes, routines and reporting comply with applicable regulations, legal requirements and internal policies. Your Profile We're looking for someone who is organized and thorough with a clear focus on quality and delivery reliability. You have analytical ability and enjoy understanding what lies behind the numbers, while you can translate your conclusions into relevant support for the business. To thrive in the role, we also believe you are communicative and pedagogical and can explain financial relationships clearly to different audiences. You appreciate collaboration and many contact points, while you have your own drive and are comfortable working independently. As a person, you are down-to-earth and unpretentious and contribute to an environment characterized by open dialogue, transparency and collaboration. Required Qualifications We're looking for someone with a post-secondary education in finance or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience. You have several years of experience in controlling, preferably from a larger organization, and have worked with reporting and financial statements. You have a good understanding of accounting, accounting principles, regulations, reporting standards and product calculations, as well as experience with ERP systems, BI tools and financial information systems. To succeed in the role, you need to be analytical and have a strong ability to interpret financial information, identify deviations and see connections in complex data sets. You are also business-oriented and have a good understanding of how different parts of the business affect the financial outcome. The role requires fluent knowledge of Swedish.
