The Swedish Civil Aviation Administration (LFV) is now seeking a controller for our finance team supporting the Systems and Development (SoU) department. As a controller, you will become an important partner to the business and qualified support on matters concerning financial planning, monitoring, analysis, and management. You work closely with the business and contribute with economic perspectives that form the basis for decisions – both in day-to-day work and in more long-term and strategic matters. You will support the Systems and Development (SoU) department, which has a broad technical area of responsibility. The department is responsible for, among other things, communications, navigation, and surveillance services as well as LFV's administrative IT. SoU conducts development activities, system planning, and procurement, and is responsible for the technical equipment used within air traffic control, flight briefing, and aviation weather services. The department also delivers technical operations and maintenance services to air traffic control centers, airports, government agencies, and companies throughout Sweden. The position is placed within Common Services (GT) Finance, which is responsible for, among other things, financial planning, accounting, monitoring, and reporting. The unit serves as qualified support to the business on financial matters and contributes with analyses, calculations, and other materials required for management, leadership, and monitoring. Your Role We are now seeking a controller whose main responsibilities will be to handle matters concerning budget, forecasts, reporting, and monitoring. In this role, you will, among other things: work with budget, forecasts, and ongoing financial monitoring analyze results and identify trends, deviations, and improvement areas contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting as well as reporting to external parties prepare financial analyses, calculations, and decision-making materials monitor finances in both the business and the projects conducted within LFV provide financial support in business planning and monitoring support managers and the business on financial matters prepare materials for example prior to contracts and other business decisions contribute to audit work by compiling relevant materials be an active part of the more strategic and forward-looking work with financial management and business planning. The role involves many contact points and you will collaborate closely with both the finance function and the business's managers and employees. Your Profile We are seeking someone with a degree in business administration or equivalent academic education in economics and at least three years of experience in qualified finance work. You have experience from accounting and/or controller roles and thrive in a role where you can combine analysis, structure, and business understanding. You have very good skills in Excel and are accustomed to working with large amounts of data, analyses, and monitoring. You express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English and have a talent for communicating financial information in a clear and educational manner. It is meriting if you have experience from a larger organization and are accustomed to working in a complex operation with many contact points. Experience in risk management, risk reporting, and business planning is also meriting. If you have also worked with investments – from preparing decision-making materials to monitoring and activation – we see that as a particular advantage. Experience with IFS or other major business systems is further meriting. For us, your personal qualities are at least as important as your experience and competence.
