The Department of University-wide IT works with strategic IT matters and is a service organization for shared services, with responsibilities including infrastructure, management, service, and support. As a controller, you will support our senior controller and management in financial planning and follow-up. You will play a key role in transformation efforts both within the department and across the organization. The staff currently includes coordinators, administrators, operations managers, business development specialists, and project managers. You will be part of the strategic staff and report to the Deputy IT Director/Head of Staff. Job Responsibilities You will work with analysis, follow-up, and evaluation of the department's finances, operations, and operational projects. Your analyses support department heads and operations managers in identifying deviations and improvement opportunities. You will work proactively and play an important role in the department's goal-setting, budgeting, and operational planning efforts. Your responsibilities will include: Providing support to management and unit heads for financial follow-up at department, unit, and group levels. Supporting department heads and operations managers in managing, planning, and monitoring operations. Collaborating with other departments and offices on finance, budget, and planning processes; analyzing and following up on service deliveries and projects with a focus on goal achievement, quality, and economics. Continuous development of methods and tools for financial monitoring. Qualifications University degree in economics or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer as equivalent. At least 3 years of experience with budgeting, operational planning/management, budget follow-up, operational planning with activities, and strategic goals. Strong Excel skills and good computer literacy are required. Experience with financial management in practice and various analytical methods. Good verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You are a careful, analytical, and structured person. You see the big picture in details and details in the big picture. You are self-driven but also capable of working in a team and at a fast pace. The position involves many contact points throughout the organization, so it is important that you are attentive, service-oriented, and enjoy achieving goals through collaboration. You are experienced in driving processes and have strong pedagogical skills. Desirable/Meriting Qualifications Experience with IT service delivery. Experience with financial work in the higher education sector, public administration, or other large organizations. Experience with investments and depreciation. Knowledge of financial systems such as Raindance, Proceedo, or other major financial systems, as well as the payroll system Primula.
