Job description: We are now hiring an additional Commodity Buyer for Wiring Harness in the Chassis Platform & Projects Team, with location Gothenburg (SE). As a Commodity Buyer at Volvo Buses, you have end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of suppliers and commodities delivering to production sites globally. You will be part of our diverse team with motivated buyers and purchasing project managers. We will gladly share our expertise and experience with you and look forward to learning from yours. Your Role Working in this position you will be responsible for Wiring Harness, teaming up with our other wiring harness buyers and together securing the commodity deliverables including quality, cost, delivery, and features. You will be responsible for supplier selection, contract negotiation and implementation, appropriate supplier relationship management, supplier development, and supplier partnerships while ensuring strong key stakeholder processes on a regional/global level. You will also be responsible for implementing and updating sourcing strategies in cooperation with other buyers, purchasing project managers, supplier quality, cost engineering, product development, and our manufacturing plants. You will contribute to many different and exciting new development projects and source components for our production. The internal network is vital, and we expect you to effectively work and communicate in a cross-functional setting. Moreover, you will lead daily purchasing activities in your scope, securing quality and delivery supplier performance, driving cost reduction activities, implementing segment business and supplier business plans, and leading contract negotiations in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
