About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, community corrections, remand facilities and inmate transportation. Community corrections is criminal justice supervision that takes place in the community. A community corrections sentence involves both supervision and support for those sentenced. Community corrections' task is to supervise clients sentenced to conditional sentences, protective supervision, youth supervision, community service and electronic monitoring. The majority of those sentenced to criminal justice supervision are in community corrections. Community corrections also conducts program activities for clients and personal investigations for suspects before trial. The Community Corrections Göteborg operational area consists of two community corrections offices; Community Corrections Göteborg Rosenlund and Community Corrections Göteborg Ullevi. Approximately 300 employees work at Community Corrections Göteborg, and the management group consists of 13 managers who report to the Community Corrections Director David Sandén. As a manager in community corrections, you have both an operational and strategic role, and it is important that you can quickly shift between different tasks and adapt when needed. The position is operations-oriented and involves, among other things, making decisions regarding our clients and supporting your employees in our complex mission. You lead, develop and monitor operations and have personnel, budget and work environment responsibility for approximately 25 employees. Community Corrections Göteborg's organization is divided into twelve management areas. In your role as corrections inspector, you are responsible for one management area and also have responsibility for several matters affecting the entire workplace. Your work includes representing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service in external cooperation and driving development initiatives together with other actors. You are part of the management group where Community Corrections Director David Sandén, management support and your management colleagues form an important platform for your leadership. For this position, we are seeking a manager for the security operations area for Community Corrections Göteborg. This includes leading the team of our security officers and intelligence operators. Experience in work management within the security field will therefore be a merit. The position also includes being manager for the decision support group, which quality assures case handling and supports community corrections staff in the client process. As the responsible manager within the security field and as manager for the decision support groups, you will work broadly with these support processes directed toward both of our offices.
