Are you a reliable and responsible CE driver who enjoys the freedom of the open road? Ville Carlssons Åkeri is now hiring a long-haul driver for regular runs between Jönköping and Ytterhogdal. You'll get independent work with a clear structure – and the option to work day/early evening or late evening/night shifts. About Us We are an established transport company with about 40 employees and operations at several locations throughout Sweden. Our headquarters is in Östersund and we also have operations in Jönköping, Göteborg, Karlstad, and Mariestad. As a transport partner to DSV, we currently operate 11 fixed routes for freight transportation between several locations in Sweden. Job Responsibilities As a long-haul driver with us, you will drive between Jönköping and Ytterhogdal. You are responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently and ensuring that the delivery arrives as scheduled. Your duties include: driving long-haul routes between Jönköping and Ytterhogdal loading and unloading at terminals and customer locations ensuring proper and secure cargo securing inspecting goods and noting any damage or discrepancies planning your driving and breaks according to applicable regulations and time frames driving safely and fuel-efficiently handling and reporting any discrepancies or issues along the way Punctuality is an important part of the job. Other parts of the transport chain depend on the crew arriving as scheduled, which means you need to take responsibility for both your own driving and the overall delivery. Working Hours The work week consists of two trips, each trip consists of two work shifts. The position can be adapted based on whether you prefer to work day/early evening or late evening/night. Early shift – day and early evening Work shift 1 starts around 13.00 in Jönköping and drives toward Ytterhogdal. Loading and unloading may occur along the way and the work shift ends around midnight. You then stay overnight in a house in Ytterhogdal. Work shift 2 starts around 09.00 and drives back toward Jönköping, with expected arrival around 18.00. The work shift continues until about 20.00 and ends with you helping a colleague load piece goods. Late shift – evening and night Work shift 1 starts around 18.00 in Jönköping. You begin by loading piece goods and then drive toward Ytterhogdal, with the work shift ending around 05.00. You then stay overnight in a house in Ytterhogdal. Work shift 2 starts around 20.00 and drives back toward Jönköping, with expected arrival around 05.00. In Jönköping you unload certain parts of the load before the work shift ends around 07.00. About You We are looking for a reliable and responsible driver who enjoys independent work. You are thorough, organized, and understand the importance of maintaining both schedules and safety procedures. Because you are responsible for loading and unloading, you need to be prepared for work that involves more than just driving. You take care of goods and equipment and ensure that the work is performed safely and correctly. When something unexpected happens along the way, you have the ability to stay calm, think in a solution-oriented manner, and handle the situation well. You also know when you need to seek help from traffic control or colleagues. Although much of your workday is spent independently, collaboration is important. You communicate with colleagues when needed, help where you can, and contribute to smooth operations. As a driver, you are the face of Ville Carlssons Åkeri. Therefore, we value that you have a professional and friendly manner in your interactions with customers and others you meet in your work. For this position, you need to have: CE driving license valid YKB good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written If you have a forklift license and valid ADR certification, that is a plus.
