About the role and the team You are welcome to join the Authority & Building unit, which is a cohesive and engaged team consisting of seven colleagues. We are part of the Property Management department at SISAB. We are four authority coordinators and two case handlers, plus unit manager Toni Öhgren, to whom you will report. Within the company, we work to ensure that building components are managed, maintained and developed in a technically, economically and long-term sustainable way. As a Building Specialist, you are responsible for technical expertise, quality assurance and development of both external and internal building components, with a particular focus on roofing, facades, painting and building technical components. You serve as expert support to both property management, project organizations, operations and contractors, and play an important role for us by helping to ensure that the right measure is implemented at the right time and with the right quality. In your daily work, you contribute technical expertise, particularly within the focus areas of roofing, facades, painting and building technical components. You review and quality assure technical solutions, ensure material selection and execution methods, and identify and mitigate technical risks in projects. You participate in procurement and requirements specification, support in design and implementation, and follow up on contracts and execution quality. You also support cost estimation and cost assessment, contribute to cost control and forecast reliability, and ensure the right balance between cost, quality and lifespan. Our office is currently located in the Globen area, but we are moving on October 1st to new fresh premises next to Luma Park in Hammarby sjöstad. As a Building Specialist, you will switch between office work combined with work out at our properties, which gives you a varied day with many different types of contacts. For trips out to the properties, you have access to a pool car. Your profile We are looking for someone who has a post-secondary construction technical education as a foundation and/or solid work experience from contracting and construction sites with a particular focus on roofing, facades, painting and building technical maintenance. The most important thing is that you are confident in your professional role and have good material and method knowledge. You have an understanding of building technology, moisture, airtightness and climate envelope, and knowledge of applicable regulations, industry standards and technical standards. If you also have experience in inspection, damage assessment and/or technical control, we see this as an additional merit. To succeed in this role, we believe that you as a person are driven, responsible and forward-thinking, and have the ability to switch between details and the overall perspective. In addition, you are structured and have the ability to document and communicate technical issues. Since the role has many contact points, it is important that you have a good ability to collaborate and get along easily with different types of people, in both administrative and technical functions. We believe you do this best by being clear, positive and solution-oriented, and by expressing yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing. Since the role involves visits to our properties, you need to have a Class B driver's license.
