Approximately 1,800 people go to work in Östhammar Municipality every day to deliver welfare and development so that our local community can remain safe and attractive. We are now recruiting a Construction Project Manager to the Real Estate Operations, consisting of approximately 30 employees working in construction project management, property maintenance, grounds maintenance and facilities engineering. The operations are part of the Technical Office, which also includes waste, meals and cleaning, facility strategic issues, vehicles, insurance, etc. The real estate portfolio consists of approximately 200 properties with approximately 9,000 m² of roof area. These are community properties such as schools, preschools, elderly care, swimming pools, sports and ice halls, as well as numerous cultural buildings, harbors and dams, and an active leased farm. We handle both rentals and leasing of our properties. Together, we contribute to Östhammar Municipality's development as a community where people can live and work. WORK TASKS As a Construction Project Manager with us, you will have the opportunity to manage many different types of projects ranging from energy efficiency improvements, operational adaptations, planned maintenance, renovations and extensions to new construction. You will work broadly with project, design and construction management. You are responsible for driving projects toward established goals regarding function, quality, time and cost. The project management assignment covers the entire process - from pre-study to implementation, inspection and follow-up. Examples of work tasks: • Responsibility for project implementation and budget, and for delivering budget, forecast, follow-up and analysis and other reporting within given timeframes • Conducting investigations regarding renovations and new construction projects • Preparing documentation for procurement of contractors, consultants and suppliers • Leading and participating in various types of meetings to ensure delivery and budget requirements • Presenting matters to the council The work takes place in close collaboration with stakeholders within the municipality, consultants, suppliers and contractors, as well as with colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with relevant education in the field. Preferably higher education in civil engineering, construction and facilities or real estate law, or alternatively other education or experience deemed equivalent. We see that you have solid work experience as a project manager with several years of documented experience in: • Design and construction management, both simple and more complex construction projects • Conducting investigations and estimates for renovations and new construction projects • Construction law, PBL, BBR and relevant chapters in AML It is meritable if you also have experience in: • building on public land • procurement according to LOU • working with energy efficiency improvements, both on a small and large scale • preparing LCC calculations • working in a politically governed organization We also see that you are comfortable expressing yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English, have good IT skills and a class B driver's license. As a person, you are structured and organized and prioritize activities efficiently. You are accustomed to taking responsibility for driving your work forward and delivering on time.
