We are seeking a Child Health Nurse (BVC) who wants to work in a stable and pleasant environment. Here we work in close collaboration with each other to create secure interactions with our visitors. Work Responsibilities As a Child Health Nurse you will work in a family center consisting of a midwifery clinic, child health center, open preschool and family support services. The work involves close collaboration with the family center and we conduct joint home visits and provide additional support to families in need. Your work as a Child Health Nurse includes preventive health check-ups, developmental assessments, vaccinations according to the child health care base program and home visits to all newborns. You will work both independently and in a team with other professional categories at the health center and at the branch. Närvården Bäckby-Råby is a developing unit where employees participate actively and Child Health Nurses are an important part of that work. About the Workplace Närvården Västmanland consists of 11 regionally operated health centers and emergency clinics operated as an in-house venture within Region Västmanland. Närvården Bäckby-Råby is a growing health center with a branch in Råby. We are responsible for just over 11,400 registered patients and our unit includes physician and district nurse clinics, several types of specialist clinics, maternal and child health care as well as a rehabilitation unit with physiotherapists and a counselor. Great emphasis is placed on preventive work and we also offer help with substance abuse issues. Long-term planning for continuity and stability for patients, where our rehabilitation coordinator is an important part of the team to help patients move toward meaningful lives to the greatest extent possible. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further training as a district nurse or specialist education in health and medical care for children and young people. We are looking for you who have experience working in child health care and training in EPDS, hearing tests, language and communication. If you also have MI training and are trained as a parent group leader, that is a merit. Preferably you have experience with the Cosmic medical records system that we use in our daily work and you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. We are looking for you who are professional and empathetic and always show both children and parents as well as colleagues respectful treatment. You work well in a team, are process-oriented and see the positive aspects of contributing to the unit's development work. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Driver's license (Category B) is required. Terms of Employment Permanent employment. Full-time. Work is performed both at Bäckby and at Råby. Start date by agreement.
