Job responsibilities As a teacher in this position, you will teach and work with a student group that is being prepared during their upper secondary school years for work in animal care. In addition to teaching, you will support students as a mentor by understanding their needs, following their studies, and participating in the goal of helping them achieve their upper secondary school diploma. You have experience and a strong ability to collaborate with teachers, student support services, employers, and families for the student's benefit. The position is 80% full-time. Qualifications To succeed as a teacher in the natural resources program, you have several years of experience in similar work and feel confident in your professional practice. We are looking for someone with prior professional experience who is a certified teacher for the course on animals for research purposes plus one additional subject at upper secondary level. As a teacher, you have patience and understanding for all individuals' different circumstances. You are also skilled at finding individualized solutions so that students can reach their goals. As a colleague, you are flexible and self-reliant, but also enjoy working as part of a team with other colleagues. You are passionate about helping students structure their work and develop their potential. You should be clear and organized. You also need strong social skills, great patience, and determination. You need the ability to motivate and convince, as well as to find new ways and solutions to help students reach their goals. To work with young people, it is important that you are a role model and a boundary-setting adult. Teacher certification/qualification for upper secondary instruction is a requirement. Other Selection and interview processes may be conducted continuously during the application period.
