About the Position Within Region Västernorrland, approximately 8 BT blocks are being filled in spring 2027 with 12-month employment contracts. We recruit BT doctors with the region's future competency needs in focus, and as a BT doctor, you are important to us. Our ambition is for you to develop during your BT service and continue to be part of Region Västernorrland even after completing your BT. With us, you can apply for BT at one of our three locations: Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, or Sollefteå. We offer a developmental BT that provides excellent preparation for specialist practice. We also offer one of Sweden's highest BT salaries. If you live outside Västernorrland and need to relocate to complete your BT with us, we offer relocation assistance up to 20,000kr. BT in Region Västernorrland consists of 12 months of service divided into acute care (17 weeks), psychiatry (10 weeks), and general medicine (17 weeks). You also have the opportunity to extend your service with two weeks of elective placement. For BT doctors in Örnsköldsvik with acute placement in Surgery/Orthopedics, an ATLS course is offered. The BT service begins with a common introduction and training program from 2027-02-22 to 2027-03-07 (weeks 8-9). The employment then continues with clinical placement either starting week 10 or week 24. In your application, we ask that you attach a CV and a personal letter stating why you are seeking a position in our region and which location you prefer for your BT. If you have previously worked under supervision in Region Västernorrland and want credit for part of your service time, documentation of this should also be included in your application. For those who proceed in the process, we will request an extract from the police criminal record register. It is advantageous to have this ready before a potential interview. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
