BT Region Uppsala Base Service (BT) in Region Uppsala is conducted independently from ST. As a BT physician, you will be employed at the BT unit, which has a regional mandate. The unit is located at the Research and Development Department of Akademiska sjukhuset. Employment as a BT physician is a fixed-term position for 12 months (BT training position). Our BT begins with a four-week introductory training. You will then work in primary care, acute care, and psychiatry. On-call and evening shifts occur during placements in acute care and psychiatry. Primary care placement is at health centers in various parts of Uppsala County. You should expect commuting to and from work during this placement. Region Uppsala applies competency-based recruitment. In your application, you need to demonstrate that you meet the competencies we are seeking. The education and experience you claim must be supported by certificates. It is very important that you are thorough in your application. Formal requirements to apply for BT You are subject to regulated requirements for Base Service (BT). You have Swedish medical license from Socialstyrelsen. You have Swedish language skills equivalent to at least C1 level. Merits Previous service as a licensed physician in Sweden is a merit in this recruitment. Other relevant work in healthcare may also be a merit. Previous service as a licensed physician in Region Uppsala is a merit. Other previous experience with the healthcare organization in Region Uppsala may be a merit. Completed doctoral level education (four years of full-time doctoral studies if you hold a doctoral degree) is a merit. Your Competencies As a person, you are confident and have self-awareness. Other certificates are acceptable provided they are signed by your supervisor and clearly show the period • Certificate documenting doctoral level education together with a reference list of published scientific work if you hold a doctoral degree or licentiate degree In your application, please provide three references who know your medical competencies well.
