About the Role Do you want to contribute to tomorrow's sustainable energy supply? At Vattenfall Värme, we are now seeking a business-driven fuel procurement specialist who wants to play a central role in ensuring safe, efficient, and long-term sustainable energy production. As a fuel procurement specialist, you are responsible for ensuring the supply of fuels required for our district heating facilities. The role combines business acumen, market analysis, supplier relationships, and logistics planning. You will become part of an experienced team that together is responsible for fuel supply to our facilities. The team plays an important role in addressing fuel-related sustainability issues and helps ensure that operations meet both current and future requirements. About the Role Our fuel procurement specialists are responsible for procuring fuels for our production facilities as well as selling waste incineration services. Your main focus is procuring recycled wood and CCA-treated wood, but depending on operational needs, you may also work with other fuels in our fuel portfolio. You ensure long-term sustainable, safe, and cost-effective fuel supply. The role involves close collaboration with both suppliers, customers, and other external stakeholders as well as with internal functions and stakeholders to optimize efficient flows, logistics solutions, and business arrangements. You build and develop long-term relationships with suppliers, customers, and partners and work actively to ensure cost-effective and sustainable fuel supply. The role involves close collaboration with our facilities where you plan fuel flows for both the short and long term and monitor market developments to identify business opportunities and manage risks. Your Responsibilities: Create, develop, and maintain long-term business relationships with both Swedish and international customers, suppliers, and other partners. Manage currency exposure in connection with international fuel transactions. In collaboration with the facilities, plan logistics and fuel supply for both the long and short term, i.e., inbound transportation and fuel storage optimization, which may also include port operations. Prepare pricing bases for budgeting, quarterly, and financial plans for the different fuel types. Follow-up of completed transactions and reporting where applicable. Qualifications Qualifications To succeed in this role, we believe you have: Post-secondary education Several years of experience from a similar role in, for example, the energy sector, recycling industry, forest industry, or other related activities. Experience with procurement, sales, negotiation, and contract management. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. B-category driver's license and ability to travel for work. It is advantageous if you also have: Documented experience in business negotiations. Knowledge of public procurement. Experience from energy, waste, or commodity markets.
