Become an on-call firefighter – make a real difference for someone else!
Imagine being the person people trust when it really matters. The one who steps up when others need help most. As an on-call firefighter, you're a crucial part of community safety – every day, year-round.
This isn't just a job. It's an opportunity to contribute something greater.
You become part of a tight-knit team where community, trust, and collaboration are at the core. Together, you respond to real emergencies – from fires and accidents to acute medical cases – and make a difference where it's needed most.
With us you get:
A meaningful role with real impact
Exciting and varied assignments
A strong community where everyone supports each other
Training and development that supports you throughout your service
Being an on-call firefighter means you live your normal life – with work, family, and leisure – but remain ready to respond when the alarm sounds. It's that unique combination that makes this role so special: you're part of society, in the everyday world, and at the same time one of those who protects it. 2/3 of firefighters in Sweden are on-call.
We operate at multiple locations in the region and are now recruiting more committed people who want to strengthen community safety where they live and work. As a part-time firefighter, you have 168 hours of on-call time per month. Right now we're seeking personnel in Ånäset, Robertsfors, Sävar, Holmsund, Hörnefors, Tavelsjö, Botsmark, Vindeln, and Åmsele.
Want to make a real difference for someone else? This could be your next challenge.
To do this, you need to:
Have a valid B-class driver's license
Live and spend your daily life near your local fire station
Have basic knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
The rest we'll build together. You'll receive training, practice, and support every step of the way.
This isn't for everyone.
But it could be for you.
