We are now recruiting a residential support worker to join our team at Nyängen. We offer training and a rewarding job where you make a real difference! This is a permanent position.
About Nytida Nyängen
LSS Nyängen is a group home under the LSS framework that serves clients with autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disabilities.
In a clear, manageable environment where residents can feel at home, they can live as independently as possible with customized support. We base our approach on each person's unique circumstances, strengths, interests, and needs so that every resident can develop and thrive.
About the Role
As a residential support worker, you will tailor your support to each resident's individual needs and wishes, providing assistance in daily life from a pedagogical perspective. Together with your colleagues, you will work toward making each day meaningful and enriching. You will support and guide residents with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to encourage and motivate residents to develop their abilities and to create opportunities for an active and fulfilling leisure time. Your tasks also include documentation and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours include daytime, evening, weekends, and overnight on-call shifts.
This position requires a valid B-category driver's license.
You will have a group leader or group manager nearby who dedicates part of their time working in the operation. This could also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your Experience and Knowledge
You have a high school diploma in health and social care or equivalent education. You have strong Swedish language skills in both speaking and writing, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is advantageous if you have experience working with this target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important factor. If you have the right qualities, we will support and help you grow.
You have a positive outlook, strong commitment to people, and a sense of responsibility. You thrive in a team environment, support your colleagues, and always have our service users' best interests as your foundation.
Within Nytida, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is defined by our values—respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
