The family unit works with both authority functions and support and treatment services for children, young people, and families. You will be one of several unit managers within the family unit. As a unit manager, you will be part of the Individual and Family Care management group together with the operations manager and unit managers from the family unit, adult unit, and support unit. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for the family unit's open care services, which provide support to families with children and young people up to 18 years old. The unit is staffed with family therapists, school and preschool social workers, coordinators at Familjens hus, and a team leader who leads and distributes daily work. You will lead committed employees with high competence. Your most important task will be to create good conditions for them to succeed, develop, and thrive at work. Social services is in an exciting development phase. Therefore, we are seeking someone who likes to think innovatively, develop work methods, and contribute to long-term improvements. Together, we develop an operation that meets residents' needs and takes advantage of the opportunities and intentions of the new social services law. As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, finances, personnel, and working environment. The role involves both strategic development work and close leadership in daily operations. An important part of the assignment is also to build good relationships and strengthen collaboration with other operations that serve children, young people, and families. You collaborate with, among others, schools, health care, police, and other internal and external stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a confident and trustworthy leader who helps people grow. You create engagement by listening, involving, and providing direction. You are curious and unpretentious, see opportunities in change, and at the same time have the ability to create structure and maintain focus on what is most important. You have: • A degree in social work • Good knowledge of social work and the social services mission • Experience working with children, young people, and families • Experience collaborating with other operations and authorities • Interest in operations development and change work It is advantageous if you have: • Experience in management, leadership, or coordination roles • Experience with preventive social work and early intervention • Experience with authority functions within social services • Experience with operations development and change management • Knowledge of the new social services law's intentions To succeed in this role, we believe you are development-oriented and have the ability to turn ideas into practice.
