Ref: 20262120 Job Responsibilities Klagshamnsskolan is located in the beautiful natural setting of Klagshamn. Here you will work in a small community with all the advantages that a larger city can offer. Most of our students attend school here for all 10 years, and many of our teachers have worked here since the school opened 20 years ago. We are now seeking a new assistant principal for our upper secondary level with 9 classes and approximately 25 teachers. The management team currently consists of the school's principal, two assistant principals, and an administrative director. You will become part of a leadership team that works together to lead the school toward common goals. As an assistant principal, you report to the principal and have responsibility for leadership, development, follow-up, and collaboration. In your role, you are responsible for and lead the work with grades 7-9. This includes pedagogical development responsibility for the operations as well as personnel responsibility for employees within the unit. You will become a valuable part of our school's development work. You lead results and quality work in dialogue with your colleagues. As a pedagogical leader, you drive the school's values and set goals. While you are the pedagogues' support, you are also their challenger when it comes to developing the quality of instruction in relation to student results and progression. Qualifications You have an academic education equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree (180 credits), in the form of a teaching degree. If you have management training (for managers/leading adults) from a university (e.g., principal training), a KY program, union training, or equivalent, we consider this a merit. Leadership experience is required, and you need to have at least three years of experience teaching at the upper secondary level. If you have school leadership experience, we consider this a merit. If you have experience leading development groups in schools and knowledge and experience with a language-developing working approach, we also consider this a merit. We are looking for someone who sees the importance of participation, collaboration, and building open and trusting working relationships. You see it as natural to be out in the operations and are a calm and secure role model for both students and staff. You adapt your working approach based on what the situation requires and can shift between detail focus and holistic thinking. Furthermore, you have a task focus and ensure that things get done.
