Kraftsam is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Building for Fortifikationsverket, a state agency responsible for managing, developing and constructing properties and facilities for Sweden's defense. The agency manages one of the country's largest property portfolios and carries out complex construction and infrastructure initiatives throughout Sweden. Planned assignment period: Q4 2026 to approximately 2035. Work hours: Full-time. Location: Stockholm and surrounding area. About the role We are now seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager - Building for a comprehensive and long-term development project in the Stockholm area. The assignment involves supporting the project manager throughout the project lifecycle, from early studies and detailed planning work to design, procurement and execution of construction contracts. Role and responsibilities In this role you will, among other things: - Participate in preparatory work, planning, design, monitoring and construction. - Participate in the preparation of detailed plans and planning of development areas. - Act as the client's representative in contact with design managers, designers, site managers and contractors. - Contribute to procurement of construction contracts and consulting services. - Participate in the development of logistics and workshop areas and associated infrastructure. - Participate in the design of buildings, technical supply systems and port facilities. - Work with monitoring of budgets, schedules and project objectives. - Contribute to the preparation of budgets and technical specifications. - Support the execution of major construction contracts. Required qualifications We see that you meet all of the following mandatory requirements: 1. At least three years of architect or technical university education, alternatively four years of technical high school education, two years of technical vocational education or equivalent. 2. Experience from major development projects including building construction. 3. Experience with detailed planning processes. 4. At least 10 years of professional experience as a project manager or assistant project manager in building construction. 5. Very good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing. 6. Experience from consulting assignments as principal project manager or assistant project manager. 7. Experience with development projects involving building construction exceeding 500 Mkr. 8. Experience from projects that included both detailed planning work and development. Desirable qualifications 1. Experience working with protected objects. 2. Experience from assignments for Fortifikationsverket or similar security-sensitive operations. 3. Experience with large and complex development projects with multiple contractors. 4. Documented strong ability in financial management and project monitoring. Assignment information Assignment period: Planned contract period from Q4 2026 to approximately 2035. Work hours: Full-time. Location: Stockholm and surrounding area. Assignment start: Planned start during Q4 2026. Other information: - The assignment concerns a comprehensive development project in the Stockholm area. - The project includes establishment of logistics and workshop areas, buildings, technical infrastructure and port facilities. - Parts of the assignment may be subject to security-protected procurement (SUA) and background checks. - Swedish is the working language in both speech and writing.
