About the Research Group The Clinical Urothelial Cancer Research Group (bladder cancer, renal pelvis cancer, and ureter cancer) works toward improved prognostic assessment using biomarkers and other methods for predicting and monitoring treatment response. The group is led by Professor and Chief Physician Fredrik Liedberg. More information about the research can be found here. The activities are located at the Department of Translational Medicine in Malmö. Duties and Responsibilities As a Research Associate, you will perform laboratory work (cell culture in model systems) and bioinformatics analyses. You will prepare scientific articles, submit abstracts, and participate in scientific conferences as relevant. You may also supervise students. Qualifications The position requires: Doctoral degree. Extensive knowledge of molecular subtyping of bladder cancer. Documented experience with NGS analysis. Extensive experience with laboratory work using bladder cancer models. Documented proficiency in spoken and written English. The position requires strong collaboration skills, a solution-focused approach, and the ability to work independently and take initiative. Consideration will also be given to how your experience and expertise are assessed to complement and strengthen ongoing research within the research groups and contribute to their future development. Other Information The employment is a special fixed-term position (SÄVA) from 2026-12-01 through 2027-02-28. Full-time (100%).
