We are now seeking an assistant unit manager who wants to be a driving force in developing our older adults psychiatric unit. Together with the unit manager, you will have a key role in strengthening the quality of care, developing work methods, and ensuring that the facility's routines and guidelines become a natural part of daily work. About the Position This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference close to operations. In this position, you will be important support to the unit manager in clinical development work. Your main focus will be to drive and support care development and contribute to ensuring that the facility's routines, guidelines, and work methods are followed in clinical practice. You will work closely with the unit's staff to create good conditions for high patient safety, good quality of care, and continuous learning in the facility. The role involves operational and present leadership where you serve as support for both the unit manager and staff. Responsibilities Support the unit manager in leading and developing operations. Drive, coordinate, and follow up on improvement and development initiatives. Work toward high compliance with routines, care programs, guidelines, and patient safety work. Identify development areas and contribute to improved care processes. Introduce, inform, and support staff in the facility's work methods. Participate in monitoring quality indicators and incident management. Assist in planning, coordinating, and following up on daily operations. Be a present resource in the facility and contribute to a good work environment. What We're Looking For You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in psychiatry or geriatrics. You have several years of experience working as a nurse in psychiatry or geriatric care. You are confident in your profession and have a structured work approach with good organizational skills. You also have well-developed communication skills and can build trusting relationships at all levels of the organization. You have knowledge of and interest in quality work, patient safety, and operations development. You have the ability to translate guidelines and routines into practical work in the facility and are comfortable taking responsibility, driving development initiatives, and working independently. Meritorious Experience with quality and improvement work. Experience implementing routines and managing change. Knowledge of older adults psychiatric conditions, dementia diseases, and comorbidities. Experience working in multidisciplinary teams. Experience with leadership, change management, or improvement methodology. Terms of Employment Permanent employment in your base profession as a nurse and in the role of assistant nurse. Full-time. Working hours daytime, Monday to Friday. Start date by agreement.
