We'd love to hear from you! The Care Committee's authority consists of approximately 100 employees and is responsible for services for persons with disabilities. Subsidy case officers, team leaders, unit managers, and various support functions work here, and we collaborate closely with the Elderly Committee's authority. The Workplace and Housing unit has 10 subsidy case officers, one team leader, and one unit manager. The unit is responsible for services under LSS for persons with disabilities. Our workplace is located in the heart of central Uppsala in the new city hall, with good commute options. Here you work in bright, fresh premises and choose your workspace based on the tasks you need to perform. We offer the opportunity to work from home a few days per week. Description of Duties As a subsidy case officer at Workplace and Housing, you investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding services including housing with special services and day activities under LSS, as well as complementary services for persons living in housing with special services. Follow-up of services is an important part of the work to ensure that services are of good quality and that the individual is given the opportunity for participation and influence in the design of support. Contact with the individual, legal representatives, and other professionals around the individual is a large part of the work. Your assignment also includes providing information about the authority's mission and services, current legislation, and the user's rights. We work in a complex operation with sometimes high pace, and you need to be someone who can independently plan your work to meet the needs of the operation. In the unit, colleagues work closely together and the team leader is available for support in matters. As someone new to the workplace, we offer an introduction period where you receive mentorship support. For us, it is important to: • make a difference for our users • work together – teamwork • think innovatively – for our users' benefit • have the opportunity to develop within your professional role Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, a degree from a social care program, or a behavioral science education with social law. You have experience with public authority work and working within the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). You have good computer skills and are used to working with digital tools. The work also requires very good verbal and written skills in Swedish. It is meritorious if you have experience with the LifeCare business system and experience working according to the Individuals' Needs in Focus (IBIC) method. As a person, you are flexible and adapt well to changing circumstances. You see opportunities in changes and can quickly adjust your working methods when conditions change. You have good empathetic ability and can professionally understand other people's situations and perspectives. Furthermore, you communicate clearly and ensure that messages get across and that expectations are clear for all involved. You work in a structured manner by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently, and you set and maintain deadlines.
