Benefits Administrator
We are looking for someone interested in working in a small administrative office, which means varied work tasks in a small team with close contact with clients, colleagues, and other partners. Åsele Municipality is now recruiting a Benefits Administrator.
Work Tasks
As a Benefits Administrator, you receive applications, assess needs, make decisions, and follow up on your cases in close contact with the user, their relatives, and others in the user's network. Your role also includes providing information about the agency's mission and services, applicable legislation, and the user's rights.
Within our unit, we process applications according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). Our work is characterized by a clear user perspective with a strong focus on individual participation.
The needs of our target group vary greatly—we serve people living at home who need support only a few times per week, as well as those living in facilities with around-the-clock staff support. The work offers a high degree of variety, where you might conduct a follow-up visit in someone's home one moment and participate in an SIP meeting the next. Between these, you spend time at the office documenting and collaborating with your colleagues.
We work in a complex operation with occasionally high pace, and you need to be someone who can independently plan your work to meet operational needs.

Qualifications
A degree in social work, social care line, or equivalent education. We prefer that you have work experience in government administration. Experience working with elderly populations is an asset. You have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and related areas. To succeed in this role, we believe you are flexible and able to find solutions to the challenges you encounter. You can work independently but are also a natural team player. You are professional and have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of IBIC and the Life Care management system is an asset. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Driver's License Category B is required.
