Description We are now seeking a development-oriented and driven emergency preparedness coordinator who wants to contribute to strengthening the municipality's ability to prevent and manage societal disruptions. As an emergency preparedness coordinator, you report to the municipality's security chief and work comprehensively with crisis and preparedness issues. The work is based on applicable legal requirements and agreements between the state and municipalities regarding crisis preparedness and civil defense. Job Description With a clear citizen focus and a desire for development, you work to find comprehensive solutions for the municipality's benefit within your field of work. You participate in and lead networks and provide support and guidance to the municipality's various operations. You will work with varying tasks to strengthen the municipality's ability to manage societal disruptions and crises. This includes, for example, work with risk and vulnerability analyses, preparedness planning, crisis management, and conducting training and exercises. The position also includes crime prevention work. Concrete work tasks may include: - providing support in continuity management for the municipality's critical societal functions - developing the municipality's crisis management for peacetime crises and heightened preparedness - planning and conducting training initiatives and exercise activities - coordinating planning for special events or capabilities - coordinating and preparing referral responses - continuously monitoring the external environment within the area of civil preparedness Qualifications We are looking for someone with academic education in crisis preparedness and total defense, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent to the knowledge level required for the role. As an emergency preparedness coordinator, you need to be self-driven and able to structure your work efficiently. You also have an aptitude for collaboration and supporting others in putting complex issues into practice. It is self-evident for you to see solutions and meet others' needs for information and support to achieve results. Furthermore, you have a strategic perspective, see long-term effects of our efforts and your actions, and adapt your work accordingly. It is desirable that you have experience with work involving project management or coordination responsibility. Merits include experience with emergency coordination and preparedness planning within municipal operations.
