The Department of Technology and Infrastructure Development is responsible for and develops operations within the infrastructure development process from planning through operation and maintenance. Region Gotland's technical infrastructure and community development is a prerequisite for a resilient society, and work with emergency preparedness and security is therefore central to the department. To support the entire Technology and Infrastructure Development Department, the position of Emergency Preparedness and Security Coordinator has been established. The position is organizationally part of the Administration Support division but the duties apply to the entire Technology and Infrastructure Development Department's organization, and you will be the presenting officer to the department's management group. The Administration Support division's mission is to serve as a directing, coordinating, and supporting function in region-wide processes for the board and the department's management and operations. The division's mission also includes the department's customer service. Today we are 33 employees. Your Responsibilities The Technology and Infrastructure Development Department is seeking a coordinator with a focus on emergency preparedness and security. In this role, environmental monitoring is a central part of the work. To stay ahead of the curve, you need to keep up with current legislation and upcoming changes in the sector. Additionally, you will work with case handling, respond to referrals, prepare matters for political decisions, and present security and crisis preparedness issues to decision-makers. As an Emergency Preparedness and Security Coordinator, you will work closely with the department's management group, managers, and employees. You will drive and coordinate the emergency preparedness and security work, but also practically lead, implement, and evaluate efforts. This requires collaboration with both different actors within the region's own organization and external actors at local, regional, and national levels. In the role, you will be responsible for and practically lead the department's risk and vulnerability analysis (RSA) and security protection analyses (SSA). You will support divisions/units by practically leading continuity planning and be responsible for developing the department's crisis management plan and be able to serve as chief of staff when establishing a crisis team. Education is also an important part of the assignment, and you will educate managers, employees, and elected officials. Furthermore, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and subsequently evaluating exercises with management groups, divisions, units, and employees. In the assignment, you participate as the department's representative in the region's preparedness network. The role of Emergency Preparedness and Security Coordinator is varied, challenging, and offers great opportunities for personal development. You may also be assigned to a wartime position in your role. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with relevant academic education or other further education that the employer deems relevant. A valid driver's license and Swedish citizenship are required for the position. You have work experience in the field that the employer deems relevant. We consider it a merit if you have experience with strategic work within public administration as well as if you have good knowledge within security protection work and applicable legislation. It is also a merit if you have previously coordinated and conducted exercise activities in the field. As a person, you have the ability to see the bigger picture, analyze complex situations, and make well-founded decisions based on information and data. You can explain your subject matters pedagogically to different audiences and have a drive to develop and improve the organization's security work. We see that you are good at creating trust and building relationships with both internal and external actors. You have the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism and can prioritize and lead yourself in a complex and sometimes high-pressure environment. In the role, you are self-driven and take responsibility for structuring and driving your processes forward, where your ability to collaborate with others is key to good results. Since you will be working with complex issues across multiple operations, you need to have a strategic perspective and good judgment in your actions. The position also involves supporting others, and therefore you need to have good pedagogical communication skills with others.
