SiS youth facility Sundbo, located outside Fagersta, receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial issues as well as criminal behavior and substance abuse. We are tasked with providing care for young people with special care needs and receive boys who have been sentenced to closed youth care (LSU). Job Description We are continuing to expand and are seeking more treatment assistants/pedagogues for hourly positions at SiS youth facility Sundbo! The goal of your assignment is to motivate our young people toward new and less risky ways of living. As treatment staff, you help ensure that the routines on the unit function as they should. You play a major role in providing stability and security for our young people, and form the foundation of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain security at the institution in accordance with our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building good therapeutic relationships and contribute to ensuring that our young people receive the safety and security they need to break established patterns of behavior. Working hours are according to schedule: day shifts, evening shifts, weekends, or night shifts. As a new hourly employee at SiS Youth Facility Sundbo, you will undergo tailored introductory training to prepare you for the assignment. Qualifications Your personal suitability is the key to vital change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a firmly grounded positive view of humanity, strong empathic ability, and an ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues. As a treatment assistant, you must have: Completed upper secondary education Category B driver's license Good Swedish, spoken and written Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or university education that we deem equivalent* For employment as a treatment pedagogue, the following is required: Diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or university education that we deem equivalent Meritorious: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, for example work in psychiatry or in LSS care At SiS, we prioritize good collaboration.
