SiS youth home Långanäs receives non-school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse issues. Job Description Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment educator at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment educator, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people (non-school-age boys) living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in daily life. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to ensuring treatment plans are carried out. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal security, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You contribute to maintaining security according to our routines and participate in ensuring that daily life runs smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your responsibilities. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in a difficult life situation. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied. Before the new unit is fully operational, the position initially involves being flexible to work at our closed units, which also provides you with valuable introduction to our entire operations. Experience from client-facing positions at the Prison and Probation Service, for example, as a Correctional Officer Security Guard certification Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young boys, etc.) At SiS, we value good collegial relationships. Start date by agreement. We also have 3 days of introduction that need to be completed before you as an employee can work directly with clients, as well as shadowing with regular staff. As a new employee, you will also undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. Working hours are according to schedule: day, evening, and weekend shifts.
