Ref: 20262098 Job Responsibilities At HVB Nova, we welcome young people from all corners of the world, and over 15 languages are spoken on our workplace. Nova is both an acute care and transitional facility and the permanent home for 15 young people. Everyone who works here collaborates to create a family-like and homely environment, whether young people stay for three days or several years. We are now seeking an energetic and active team member for the night shift at HVB Nova. Together with your colleagues, you will work with supervision and motivational and supportive interventions for young people aged 13-21. You are expected and given the opportunity to contribute to ensuring that all young people receive safe and professional treatment. The work requires you to be active and strive for quality in order to stimulate and motivate the young person to develop their abilities. You are involved in many aspects that affect the young person: you provide support, have conversations, serve as a contact person - you conduct both treatment work and provide assistance with meal preparation, basic facility maintenance, and transportation. Good treatment, empathy, and the ability to meet the young person "where they are" are important qualities in the person we are seeking. You are collaborative, attentive, and work to create a positive work environment. You reflect on your own actions and are comfortable both giving and receiving feedback. You are structured but also have a high level of flexibility, both in how you handle different situations and changing circumstances. It is important that you are secure and stable within yourself with emotions under control, even in more challenging situations, and have a professional yet personal approach. Qualifications Requirements: You have a degree from at least a 2-year post-secondary education in social work, such as a treatment pedagogue/Social pedagogue with 400 YH or another qualification in social work that the employer considers equivalent. You have extensive experience in social work with children and young people. Since our work involves substantial communication, both in the form of written documentation and conversations, good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is required, as well as strong communication skills. You have a B driver's license and experience driving and with manual transmission. Meritorious: Connect, Repulse, or other approaches/methods for working with children and young people. Good knowledge of languages other than Swedish, relevant to the target group. About the Workplace HVB Nova is part of ASF and receives young people who are placed under the Social Services Act (SoL) or Care of Young Persons (LVU) Act and who are placed based on care needs, environment, and their own behavior. HVB Nova is also Malmö City's only municipal residence for unaccompanied children aged 13 to 21 who have received a permanent or temporary residence permit (PUT/TUT) or have been assigned to Malmö while awaiting a decision from the Swedish Migration Agency, as well as children/young people in transition aged 13–21. HVB Nova also has two emergency beds at the disposal of Malmö City. HVB Nova is staffed 24 hours a day with overnight staff present. The team consists of 15 staff members: 9 treatment assistants/social pedagogues working day/evening shifts, one of whom has team leader responsibility, 5 treatment assistants/social pedagogues working night shifts, and one section manager.
