Hemstagården is a supported housing facility for adult men aged 21 and older with substance abuse issues, mental health problems, or other social challenges. The facility offers support based on each individual's needs and goals. Placements are made in close collaboration with the Adult Assessment Unit, where the individual's situation and development needs are in focus. The facility has 23 places and operates under a drug-free approach. Here you will meet a dedicated team of twelve staff members, including a unit manager and coordinator. The facility operates 24/7, with four staff members working nights and six staff members on day, evening, and weekend schedules. To further develop the facility and strengthen support for residents, we are now expanding our organization with a new position as a treatment assistant with kitchen responsibility. In this role, you combine treatment work with responsibility for kitchen operations and play an important function in creating structure, safety, participation, and positive meal experiences for residents. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a treatment assistant with kitchen responsibility, you are responsible for planning, organizing, and developing kitchen operations so that it contributes to positive meal experiences, high food safety standards, and a safe living environment for residents. The role also includes supporting and motivating residents to develop knowledge and skills in cooking and household management. Main job responsibilities: • Manage the daily operation of the kitchen, including preparation of lunch and dinner. • Plan weekly menus and conduct shopping based on the facility's needs and budget. • Ensure that food legislation, self-inspection, and hygiene routines are followed. • Motivate, guide, and support residents in participating in cooking and other kitchen-related activities. • Collaborate with other staff members regarding residents' needs, goals, and measures. • Document according to applicable routines in Treserva. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with: • Education as a treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, or social pedagogue • Experience working with people with substance abuse issues and mental health problems • Good cooking skills and experience from large-scale kitchens, restaurants, or other kitchen operations • B-driver's license • Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing Meritorious: • Education in nutrition, restaurant management, or food science • Knowledge of food hygiene and self-inspection • Knowledge of specialized diets, allergies, and nutrition science We are looking for someone who is: • Service-oriented, attentive, and communicative • Responsible, organized, and has a good ability to plan and organize your work • Flexible and solution-oriented with the ability to handle changing circumstances • Committed to motivating, guiding, and supporting people in their development • Collaboration-oriented and has a pedagogical approach in interactions with residents and colleagues • Confident in building trusting relationships and contributing to a positive and safe living environment You have a genuine interest in food, meals, and pedagogical work in the kitchen.
