Captain for Archipelago Traffic

About the Position
We are looking for a captain who wants to become part of our Archipelago Traffic operations. In this role, you play a central part in daily operations and are responsible for safely and professionally commanding the vessel. Together with the rest of the crew, you contribute to a secure and positive journey for our passengers and help maintain high quality standards in our operations.
Your Responsibilities
As a captain, you will work with:
· commanding, navigating, and maneuvering the vessel as well as arrival and departure procedures
· responsibility for safety onboard and work according to the company's safety management system
· loading and unloading of cargo and vehicles as well as other deck work
· supervision and basic maintenance
· ticket and passenger handling as well as service and customer relations
· reporting, documentation, and cooperation with crew and shore-based organization
Work Schedule and Accommodation
Work is arranged in two-week rotations. During your work period, you are stationed on Ulvön, where the vessel is based at night. During your working weeks, you live in a house on Ulvön right next to the harbor. After two weeks of work, you have two weeks off.

You have the ability to make decisions and act calmly and methodically even when circumstances change. You always prioritize safety while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach toward our passengers.
Work onboard means we all help each other. Therefore, it is important that you are unpretentious and see it as natural to contribute beyond purely nautical tasks when operations require it.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position:
Master mariner class VI certificate, authority for inland waters
valid medical certificate for seafarers
Basic Safety
good knowledge of Swedish and sufficient knowledge of English
driver's license category B
Merits include:
previous experience as a captain
experience with passenger traffic and/or archipelago traffic
experience working according to ISM/safety management systems
experience with maintenance and safety work onboard
additional nautical or technical qualifications
crane, forklift, or wheel loader operator certification
