Your Role as a Childcare Worker Sommarlust Preschool offers proximity to green spaces, forests, and the cultural offerings available in the city. At our preschool, we welcome children from many different nationalities and cultures, which enriches our wonderful diversity. We work with age-homogeneous groups and focus on reducing the number of relationships children experience during a day. The environments we use and materials we provide are child-friendly and accessible. We are here for the children and help them on their journey to understand their world. Great emphasis is placed on the creative process—it is not the finished product that is in focus but the journey to get there. We also use digital tools as a natural part of children's learning. As a childcare worker, you participate in both play and learning, and help children feel secure and curious. You collaborate with preschool teachers and help plan activities that match children's development. You also assist with practical tasks such as meals, rest time, and outdoor play. Your work contributes to creating an environment where children grow, have fun, and learn new things. You also help develop the preschool's learning environments based on children's needs and the program's ongoing projects. You are flexible, build new working relationships easily, and are good at nurturing the relationships you already have. You are an engaged and listening educator who wants to develop yourself and the preschool's learning environment. We want you to place great emphasis on aesthetic learning processes. You communicate well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability is heavily weighted.
