The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varbergs Municipality's largest departments with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our operational areas of preschool, primary school, and child and student health, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.
Bua Preschool is centrally located in Bua and was completed in 2022. The preschool has four units and is close to forest, sea, and other inspiring environments that are often used in activities.

WORK TASKS
As a childcare teacher with us, you are one of the children's most important adults. You ensure that their day at preschool is fun, safe, and educational. We offer a work environment where your competence and engagement are valued, and where you together with your colleagues in the team create an environment that sees and affirms each child's potential.
Main responsibilities:
• Create a safe and inspiring everyday where each child is met with competence and warmth, and where you actively contribute to an environment where everyone feels included.
• Help children who need extra support. You find approaches that work for each individual and work closely with your colleagues to ensure all children thrive.
• Participate in planning and implementing pedagogical work and use pedagogical documentation to follow children's learning processes.
• Build trusting relationships with children's guardians, where you together create the best conditions for the child's development and needs at preschool.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is attentive to children's needs and has a natural ability to create security, where an inclusive approach is a matter of course so that everyone feels at home in the group.
You have good collaboration skills and enjoy contributing to a positive team. Since the preschool day is changeable, you are solution-focused and meet small and large challenges with a positive attitude and calm assurance.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has upper secondary education in Child and Recreation Programs, or equivalent that the employer deems equivalent.
It is a merit if you have:
• Experience with children in need of special support
• Experience working continuously with pedagogical documentation.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Salary form: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-10-14 Start date by agreement, ends: 2027-06-30.
