As a contracts controller, you have the opportunity to influence how future public procurement is conducted in Borås City. About the operation Corporate Procurement is Borås City's central procurement function and supports administrations, companies and collaboration partners in procurement, contract management and procurement development. Our mission is to create maximum value for Borås residents through professional, sustainable and innovative public procurement. Our office is centrally located in Borås, in modern premises with a gym in the building. Responsibilities As a contracts controller, you are a key person in developing the municipality's strategic procurement and contract governance. Through analysis, follow-up and business development, you contribute to ensuring that procured contracts are used effectively, that contract compliance is strengthened and that the municipality gets maximum benefit from its procurement. In the role you will, among other things: Follow up and analyze contracts to ensure that suppliers meet agreed requirements, quality levels and financial terms. Support operations through advice on contract interpretation, contract compliance and procurement procedures. Conduct contract follow-ups and supplier meetings to identify deviations, development areas and opportunities for efficiency improvements. Analyze procurement and contract data to monitor costs, contract compliance and utilization rates and prepare decision-making materials for managers and leadership. The role offers the opportunity to work with a broad portfolio of contracts within both goods and services. This may include, for example, contracts for food, office materials and medical articles, as well as service contracts for cleaning, moving and other strategically important areas for the city's operations. Digitalization, analysis and AI We see digitalization and artificial intelligence as important enablers for future procurement and contract governance. In the role, you contribute to developing our digital working methods and the use of AI to strengthen contract follow-up, analysis and decision-making. You identify opportunities where new technology can create increased efficiency, better insights and greater business value. Qualifications Requirements Academic degree in economics, law, public administration, logistics, procurement or another relevant field. Several years of experience with qualified work in procurement and contract follow-up in a similar analysis-intensive role. Experience analyzing large data sets and converting results into concrete decision-making materials and improvement measures. Strong ability to lead meetings and dialogues with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience with development and change management work. Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Meritorious Experience from the public sector. Knowledge of LOU (Act on Public Procurement) and public procurement. Experience with category-driven procurement or category management work. Experience with Power BI or equivalent analysis tools. Experience with spend analysis and procurement analysis. Experience with AI tools for analysis, follow-up or development work. Personal qualities You are curious and driven by understanding the connections between procurement, economics and business value. You have a strong analytical ability and can convert data into insights and recommendations. You are confident in dialogue with managers, operations representatives and suppliers. You take initiative, challenge existing approaches and actively contribute to the development of future public procurement. You are motivated by creating long-term value for both the operation and Borås residents.
