As a security guard with Avarn Security, you'll have an exciting day-to-day role where your task is to strengthen our customers' sense of security and promote a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The profession involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, and ensuring security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to remain calm and professional both in everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from responding to alarms and access control to reporting irregularities and collaborating with police or other authorities. The role demands high standards of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Qualifications Beyond the personal qualities we seek and describe, you need to meet basic requirements to be qualified for the position. These include upper secondary education, fluent Swedish in speech and writing, and a Class B driver's license. To be considered for the position, you must be at least 18 years old by the date of employment. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which restricts minors' ability to perform work tasks in security-related activities. You must also be of good character*, drug-free, have a sound financial situation, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security. Security guard training is an advantage for these positions. Other advantageous qualifications include experience working in the security industry, certain technical knowledge, additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, and previous experience working in public environments. If you have the right profile for Avarn and you advance in the process but don't already have the required training (VU1, VU2), we'll cover the cost of your training! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted by BYA (Security Industry's Professional and Work Environment Board). Participation in this training is a requirement for employment.
