As a security guard with Avarn Security, you'll have an exciting day-to-day role where your task is to strengthen our clients' sense of security and promote a safer environment. A security guard plays a central role in maintaining safety and security in various settings. The job involves preventing and managing risks by monitoring facilities, patrolling areas, and ensuring security procedures are followed. Security guards often work in close contact with people and need to act calmly and professionally in both everyday situations and during incidents. The work can range from alarm responses and access control to reporting irregularities and cooperating with police or other authorities. The role demands high levels of responsibility, integrity, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure. A 6-month trial period applies. Start date: By agreement This position is for an existing stationary site in Katrineholm. As our client grows, we need to bring on skilled new team members. We work closely with our client who has high standards for our service delivery and performance. This is an exciting and challenging assignment. You'll work together with the client, visitors, and contractors in daily operations where focus on service and physical security is the highest priority. Some technical knowledge and interest, as well as good Swedish and English in speech and writing, are requirements as the client is English-speaking. Qualifications: We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent service and is responsible, self-driven, and experienced at taking own initiatives. You should be comfortable working independently as well as in a team. We especially value structure, solution-oriented thinking, and flexibility as natural qualities for you. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. Our requirements for this position To be eligible for this position, you must be at least 18 years old by your start date. This requirement is based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations AFS 2023:2, chapter 8 and appendix 2, which restrict minors' ability to perform tasks in security and guarding-related activities. You must also be of good conduct*, drug-free, and have upper secondary education qualifications. Beyond that, you need good Swedish and English in speech and writing. To work at Avarn, you need to be in good health and physical condition with orderly finances. You must also hold a B-category driving license. Desirable qualifications: Security guard training (VU1 + VU2), protective security training, or other training from the security industry. Also, interest in technology and technical knowledge. If you have the right profile for Avarn and you progress in the process but don't already have the prescribed training (VU1, VU2), we'll cover your training costs! Security guard training (VU1, 9 days) is conducted at BYA, the Swedish Security Industry Occupational and Work Environment Board. Participation is a prerequisite for employment.
